Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has forwarded five names for appointments as Commissioners and Members of the Delta State Executive Council to the State House of Assembly.
The nominees include, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogu, Mr Darlington Ijeh, Dr Godfrey Enita, Hon (Mrs) Nkechi Chukwura and Mr Anthony Ofoni
Governor Okowa in the letter read by the Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori during Wednesday’s plenary, said the appointment of the Commissioners were in line with section 192, subsection 2 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The Governor explained that the development were geared towards strengthening good governance in the state and also ensuring that every sector of the economy was not left unattended to ensuring that his administration finishes strong.
The Speaker, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori who presided over plenary, directed the nominees to submit 35 copies of their credentials on or before Thursday 21 July and also appear for screening on Thursday 21 July 2022.
